Ádám Lipták is a hungarian composer, piano player and orchestrator living in Vienna, Austria. He got his master’s degree from media composition in 2020 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, in the class of Iris ter Schiphorst and Reinhard Karger. He studied three years at the Franz Liszt Music University in Budapest, and got his bachelor’s degree from Applied composition in 2015. His composition teachers were Judit Varga, Zsófia Tallér, Fekete Gyula and Ádám Balázs. Before that he studied classical piano in Szeged, Hungary. Ádám has more than seven years of experience in composing and producing music for film and different kinds of media. His portfolio incorporates a wide range of musical styles and he is particularly good at composing in historic styles, like baroque, classical, romantic, impressionism etc. He composed music for short films and excerpts in the genre drama, action, comedy and horror/thriller. He worked on a lot of animation projects as well as video games. The main title music for the video game "OHM" and his music for a short animation excerpt from "The Gruffalo" was recorded with a symphony orchestra. He worked already on some commercial projects, such as for Wien Tourismus (wien.info). In the field of jazz two works written for big band orchestra were played live in the Porgy and Bess music club in Vienna. Besides that Adam composes music for the concert hall and numerous works from him were played and recorded in Vienna. His greatest achievements so far are the first and second prize of the Vienna Film Music Preis (2017, 2016) and the nomination (first five nominees internationally) for the Marvin Hamlisch International Music Awards in 2020-2021. Ádám currently works with the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, writing arrangements and compositions for them. His latest projects with the orchestra are his first Concerto, written for two pianos and orchestra and his Choral Symphony.
