I studied for a Degree in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada, and once I finished, I was entirely sure that this was the profession I would like to perform for the rest of my life. While doing my Master’s in Institutional Translation I realized that legal and marketing translation is what I want to be specialized in and most of the translation jobs I have performed have been within this field of study. My experience as a translator goes from working in a property management office, where I was in charge of translating documents into English and Spanish. Moreover, since our clients were mainly foreigners I also worked as an interpreter in the meetings we held. I would like to point out that I also performed proofreading tasks for our clients, who, for instance, needed to hand out papers to the city council. Nowadays, I am working as a Localisation Project Coordinator for Vistatec. However, I also work part-time as a freelancer and I perform translation and interpreting assignments for different agencies.
In order to describe myself, I would say that I am a confident person and a real organizer with an eye for continuous improvement. I would be so glad to work collaboratively and contribute to team success, however, I am also ready to work independently and dare to take the initiative. My colleagues always tell me that I have an eye for new ideas and a sense for solving problems. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that I love learning and improving continuously.
