My name is Alex Podesta. I'm about to graduate from the University of Oregon with a degree in Music, as well as minors in Audio Production and Entrepreneurship, but I am also a solo artist that makes music under my last name, Podesta. As a self taught songwriter, vocalist, and rhythm guitarist, I hope to pair these skills with what I've learned while getting my degree to create a flourishing career in music after graduation. I've put out one album, "Until Something Changes", which I wrote, composed, recorded, performed, produced, and engineered entirely by myself, with the exception of one cover. The album is primarily rooted in Indie Rock and Shoegaze, with a strong Singer-Songwriter foundation. There are also influences of Post-Rock, Dream Pop, Indie Folk, and even Electronic music. I've been working on a second album for some time now which will build on these influences but focus on narrative, being more accessible, and leaning into my Electronic and Indie Folk influences. My collaborative work is minimal in comparison to my solo work, but I've provided lead vocals, backing vocals, and guitar work for other musicians, as well as co-written a couple songs. I'm more than happy for my services to be utilized in any way they're needed, and I'm very excited for more musical collaboration.
