My name is Oleksandr Shuklin, I am a filmmaker from Kyiv, now living and working in Berlin. My journey began in Kyiv 4 years ago as an assistant mainly on TV and commercial film sets, where I learned all the basics of workflow and set organization. Then I gradually transitioned to lead my own projects, including commercials for industry-leading companies in Ukraine like "Intergal-Bud", skate shops and clothing brands, as well as producing my own feature short films. Upon relocating to Berlin, I furthered my expertise by providing creative and editing assistance throughout the entire process of production and editing of commercial films at AngryBuddha Films GmbH. My core competences lie in editing and color grading, but I've also taken on roles in cinematography, directing, project management and music composition. My career shows that I often had to think outside of the box and use my creativity, finding new approaches and narratives, to get through barriers and get projects from big clients at a young age. In addition to my technical skills, I am fluent in four languages - English, German, Ukrainian, and Russian - enabling me to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
