Hello! My name is Alyssa Cove. I studied Interior Design at Washington State University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2022. Since then, I have worked as a Designer at PeopleSpace, an office furniture dealership. My time at PeopleSpace has allowed me to expand my understanding of applied interior design, and has also provided me with experience in Marketing and Sales. Skills learned from bidding on projects for PeopleSpace have bolstered my independent work doing illustration and graphic design commissions. Both in the office and on my own, I am always being pushed to stay current and creative while still aligning with the end-user’s intent. This often involves guiding clients through the process of figuring out their needs and wants, and working through all of their options - I find these dialogues to be the most challenging and the most rewarding. I am seeking opportunities to grow as an individual, and also as part of a community. Working with a team has underscored the value of being able to learn from others who have similar goals but different earned knowledge and experience. I make myself an asset to those around me through communication and compassion, and the connections that follow lend themselves to improved efficiency and accuracy. There are so many things I have yet to learn, and my goal is to be as intentional and impactful with my time as possible.
