Ami is an author, artist, and designer with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from CalArts. Currently, Ami is working on earning their UX/UI Certification (November 2024-May 2025) while studying Project Management and Python independently on the side. Following the completion of their UX/UI program, Ami plans to continue into a Software Development Bootcamp (2025). Much of Ami's experience is rooted in their background as an author, artist, designer, and publisher. The combination of both their independent creative practice and the roles they've played in working with clients has left them with a range of skills and the ability to adapt to new aesthetics, requirements, functions, etc. that are not necessarily in their own personal writing and design styles. Upon switching from independent publishing to the food industry, Ami took on roles as both a Creative Director and a Business Development Manager at a start-up company.
