Ana Lia Saettone was born in Lima, Peru on December 27th, 1978. She went to an all girl British school in Lima, where she gave her first steps in music. After high school she moved to Texas to pursue a music degree. She studied there from 1999 until 2001, leaving her studies truncated due to her father’s illness. Two years later he passed away. On 2001, when she came back to Lima she started playing as a solo artist around different places in Lima and in the entire country. On 2004 she released her first album, “Acustica”, album that was compounded by 13 songs, written in words and music by Ana Lia. This album had a unique sound, since it was recorded entirely by Ana Lia, just with her guitar and voice. She had a long run showcase at “Mama Batata”, located in Larcomar, in Lima. She played there for 8 years in a row. On 2006, she participated on the TV Show “Latin American Idol” held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she auditioned among 4,000 people, and got her way up to the 60 best voices for the Buenos Aires auditions. Ana Lia kept on playing and singing in different bars around Peru, and on 2010 she goes back to school to finish her degree in Music. While living in Texas, she played at different bars in Austin, captivating the Latin community’s attention. When she came back, she started working with Gianmarco, a Peruvian singer / songwriter, winner of 2 Latin Grammys. Now she is pursuing her soloist career, and she has 2 albums and 2 singles released on spotify.
