I am a MFA graduate from Brooklyn College's Graduate School of Cinema with a concentration in post-production and 2-D titling graphics. Additionally, I am well versed in sound and color correction. I have over 6 years of experience in both video production and post production. Most recently, I have worked as a freelance video and sound editor, working for ad agencies and independent production companies alike. I have worked on both narrative and documentary pieces, several of which have received awards. I am well versed with workflows as a single editor as well as in small teams. I am skilled in non-linear editing in Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, and I am highly versed in Adobe After Effects and Da Vinci Resolve. I have managed and organized projects, set up Script Sync, created proxy footage with data burn-ins, and synced footage with sound. I also have prepared string outs, cuts, and turnovers for both color and sound, and I am gaining experience with incorporating and using new AI video generators. Prior to my freelance work, I was an Associate Field Producer and video editor at Yahoo! Finance. I worked on the morning team to produce live show which included: working with reporters to flesh out stories, as well as researching and proposing new guests and segments. I was also in charge of curating, data, visuals, graphics, and various show elements that would be shown during the segments. As an editor, I cut long-format interviews, created SOTs and b-roll which could be used on-air, and produced promo content for upcoming events and interviews. Before Yahoo! Finance, I worked at the Human Rights Foundation, where I created video content for social media and the website. I also worked on the team that produced the international Oslo Freedom Forum, working specifically with on the ground problem solving as well as handling the livestreamed content of the event.
