Project Goal:
The goal of this project was to optimize the content of the CHRONEXT websites to achieve top rankings on Google search results for strategically selected keywords crucial to our business.
My Role:
Content Management: Collaborated closely with the CHRONEXT SEO Team Leader to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, focusing on content creation and link building activities.
Biggest Challenge: Starting from scratch with no existing content on the Italian website, aside from placeholder text, and no developed content for categories and landing pages.
Solution Implemented:
Content Creation: Identified key strategic keywords based on product selection and search volume analysis (using Keywordtool.io). Developed category pages and detailed descriptions focusing on primary keywords, each comprising at least 1,000 words. Translated English articles authored by CHRONEXT watch experts into Italian. Established a style guide and outsourced translations as needed. Published 533 pieces of content within six months. Implemented contextual internal linking across pages and homepage to enhance SEO. Initial results showed main category pages ranking between positions 10 and 5 for multiple strategic keywords.
Link Building: Identified top 30 strategic keywords for improved rankings. Developed partial match-anchor texts to avoid over-optimization. Partnered with a diverse range of blogs and websites with Domain Rankings of 20 or higher and average monthly traffic of 1,000 or more. Secured external DO-FOLLOW links through strategic partnerships. Tracked keyword performance using Semrush and Google Search Console, achieving improved ranking distribution and achieving first-page rankings for 80% of targeted keywords.
