When I entered university, I thought I wanted to become a game developer. However, after spending two years writing code and studying calculus and discrete mathematics, I needed something else. I was left craving a creative outlet to express myself and my ideas. So, I transferred to a program called Interactive Arts and Technology, where I believe I have found what I love to do: telling stories through film. I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Arts and Technology, having learnt Design and Media Arts. I now aim to enter the entertainment world, working in post-production on short films, documentaries, and animation while being open to more than just those mediums. From being an editor or graphic designer, I strive to enhance any project with my creative ideas.

This was a last-minute project that I had very little to no time to prepare for. This all started when my neighbour, who volunteers at this charity, asked me if I would be interested in shooting a short documentary for a contest. I was asked a day before the charity had its weekly "free store" event, where they would give food, clothing, and other items away to those in need for free. The contest that the Kimz Angels charity was entering was being hosted by Sunlight, where the documentaries that won would win the charity a large sum of money to help their cause. This was a group project that was completed for a university course on Virtual Reality. This project aimed to create an immersive VR environment that teaches the participant a valuable lesson. For this project, my group decided to make a VR experience that takes place in the iconic landscape of Windows XP and where the participant has to solve some issues inside the computer. This was a group project that was completed for a university course on Animation. The purpose of this project was to create an animation short that highlighted the skills we had learned throughout the semester. For this project, my group decided to create an anthropomorphic bear that got hungry in the middle of the night and went searching for food while trying not to wake anyone up. This was a group project that was completed for a university course called Moving Images. The purpose of this project was to create a documentary for the Museum of Vancouver's exhibition that focused on how people coped with the Covid-19 pandemic. For this project, my group decided to focus on the BC Honda Owners Club and how they were able to interact with each other over their shared passion even while they were far apart. Taking this course during the pandemic's peak, our class was forced to take this course online. Thus, we were given the option to film our own short film or to take a previously made film from EditStock and re-edit it to present a new film. I chose the latter as I did not have access to much equipment and chose a film from EditStock that fit the tone and feel of living in isolation. For those who did take this option, we were tasked to edit the film so that it would present a different story than how it was originally edited.
