Hi! My name is Bartolomé Bulos Touzard, and I am a Music Composer for Film and TV. From Lima, Peru, I grew up surrounded by stories. My musical journey began by playing the violin and being a member of my home school's string orchestra. As I gained musical maturity, I began to notice the presence of film scores and their importance in each movie. I began to notice how I had grown up surrounded by iconic themes, and as my curiosity grew, I fell in love with the possibility of becoming a film composer. Here I am now. I am 22 years old and recently finished a BSc. (Hons) at the University of Hertfordshire in Music Composition and Technology for Film and Games.     Playing with Fire (2024) is a short film directed by Ernesto Espinosa. The synopsis is as follows: A clinical psychiatrist struggles to connect with his patient, the sole survivor of a house fire that killed his family. Through Dr. Flemming’s attempts to understand Theo, a meaningful bond forms between the two, uncovering the truths of their pasts.     The Sound of Art explores how the story and emotions a painting tells can be translated into music; it explores the sound of art. Each piece of content is a musical composition that stems from the story and emotions a painting I’ve selected tells, discovered through extensive research and my interpretation. The Sound of Art began as the Final Major Project I designed to graduate from the University of Hertfordshire. For Playing with Fire, I composed and digitally produced a fifteen-minute orchestral score, which was later published on Spotify under Playing with Fire (Original Short Film Soundtrack). It was exciting to navigate the story while building a network of motifs to aid in the film's storytelling and collaborating with the director, as his vision and desire for compelling characters made the experience even better.…
