Hey there, my name is Ben and I am a hard working and motivated animator who specialises in 2D motion graphics, based in Norwich, Norfolk in the UK. I worked as an animator for the Norwich based company Curveball Media, between 2018 to 2023. I specialise in producing animation for explainer videos either independently or working collaboratively with the other animators. I have also worked on some visuals for projects and produced original concepts from initial idea to full realisation for the company’s social media platforms. I regularly work to tight deadlines managing my project schedule and balancing priorities, whilst producing high quality work for national and international clients. Outside of Curveball I have also produced work for music videos by independent artists that incorporate animated text in time with the lyrics. Not only was I animating these but I was also creating the illustrations and other assets used. I have also created cutscenes for the yet to be released video game, Gypsy Dawn Rising. There I took the illustrations drawn by the designer and gave them slight motion to the music, sound effects and voice work. Recently I worked with Heritage Doncaster to create animated videos about the life of 3 different important women in the city’s history. I was tasked with taking the paragraph of text that they had written and then storyboarding, creating the illustrations and then animating each 1 minute long piece. This is not the only piece of animation I have worked on for a musuem as I also created a logo animation for the Bronte Society’s podcast, Behind The Glass. I was regularly working on videos for the YouTube channel The Mini ADHD Coach, animating semi weekly 3-5 minute long episodes from the storyboards supplied with a very quick turnaround of around 2-3 days per video. Another recent project that I produced was for the company Parkso. With them I created a minute long explainer video, illustrations and animation showcasing what the car parking payment app is capable of.
