Hi there! I am Balazs, an experienced Industrial Designer and Strategist passionate about mobility, technology and purposeful design that adds real value for people. I am originally from Hungary however, I have lived across Europe, in Singapore and 15 years in the UK. Currently I live in Warsaw, Poland and work as freelance industrial designer and design strategist. Previously, I was Head of Industrial Design and Brand Strategy at VOOL, a smart electricity-tech startup, from Tallinn, Estonia. I led the industrial design team and process from idea to serial production and the company's brand strategy from brand inception to market entry in the Baltics and Nordics. My main responsibilities included leading the hardware portfolio development from idea to serial production (concept design, CAD development, prototyping, managing DFM) brand strategy development, creative direction and scaling the brand equities across all touch-points, both physical and digital. Our flagship product the VOOL EV Charger just won the 2024 BRUNO Product Design Award by the Estonian Association of Designers. Before VOOL, I was part of the PepsiCo Design & Innovation team for 4 years in London, where I was responsible creating fresh and exciting brand experiences for the entire PepsiCo portfolio. My main roles included 360 brand development through consumer research, consumer behaviour, exploring new consumption moments, brand opportunities, building brand salience and also traditional structural design projects from ideas to market. In addition to my experience, I have a high level of proficiency in Solidworks, Keyshot, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, 3D printing, prototyping, ProCreate digital sketching, and more. I also have a deep understanding and experience in research methodologies, global sustainability trends, user-centred design, and design thinking & innovation techniques.…Hi there!
