    uniE613 Guru Landing Page Design
Project Overview Guru is a knowledge management software company that needed help simplifying their lead generation process. I redesigned the customer journey throughout the page, and utilized Guru’s excellent hand-drawn illustrations to guide users’ attention and highlight key information. uniE613 Google Landing Page Redesign
Project Overview I worked with Google’s Cloud team to redesign a landing page for their cloud development platform. Their prior page was not performing up to expectations, and their sales team was getting a lot of basic questions. I designed both low- and high-fidelity wireframes and presented them to Google’s marketing team along with my research findings and suggestions for future testing. The Problem The Google Cloud team was having difficulty with a sales funnel for their cloud development product. User Issues: Users were consistently reporting they were having issues finding information on the site. Many users abandoned the page or were not a good fit for Google’s sales team. Company Issues: Campaign performance was poor, with a low conversion rate and high cost per lead. There were also issues with lead quality, as sales reps spent a lot of time educating. User Research I reviewed a variety of data, including heat maps, user recordings, and surveys/notes from the sales team, discovering two key problems. Pain Points Heat map data showed that users were not typically scrolling far enough down the page to access key information Customer survey data indicated that many smaller businesses weren’t sure how the product fit their needs Design Considerations Core feature information was placed at the top of the page, and broken out into short, concise points Customer reviews were carefully selected to match Google’s target organization size and industry Issue One: Muddy Product Information The main issue was users’ confusion over product features, stemming from decentralized information. I mapped out a clear information hierarchy that allowed for skimming; after testing feature information was placed at the top of the page then reiterated further down Working within Google’s strict brand guidelines, I utilized checklists and colorful shapes and icons to help guide user attention Issue Two: Lack of Small Business Focus To better align users’ perceptions, I focused on utilizing reviews from small business owners. After reviewing several dozen reviews for commonalities, I utilized customers’ language throughout the page Reviews were chosen from users who fit Google’s target personas, providing better emotional connection with users I experimented with a variety of layouts and placements to best provide social proof and build trust Outcome My manager and I presented the finalized designs to Google’s team, along with my research findings and recommendations for customer reviews and copy edits. The designs were very well received by Google’s team and helped start a great business relationship as well. View final design: https://www.twine.net/signin
uniE613 Infor Modular Template System Design
Project Overview Infor is an enterprise software company with dozens of products serving a wide range of industries. They wanted to ability to have their marketing team quickly create new optimized content, while adhering to their brand guides. I designed a template system able to handle the various content their team needs, including product information webpages, landing pages, and lead capture funnels. Design Research Infor has a well-established design system governing dozens of enterprise products. I studied their brand guide and current web content to see their branding in context and ensure consistency in my designs. Key Brand Elements Infor has a limited color palette of red, graphite, and white with blue accents Visual interest is added through subtle dot or grid patterns Designs are minimalist and built around a consistent grid system Customer Research Infor’s team sent me heat map data for a number of their current webpages, allowing me to determine what aspects were currently performing well and spot opportunities for improved customer flows. Pain Points One of the main issues I discovered was poor informational architecture, leading to high bounce rates A competitor analysis showed that many of the Infor pages were missing key visuals like screenshots and graphics Design Considerations My template layouts utilize line/shape, color, and space to emphasize the informational hierarchy I included spaces for visuals in key positions, reinforcing written content with graphics and other visual aids Design Process My main focus was ensuring every aspect of the layout contributed to the informational architecture. I utilized heat map data to refine these designs. I varied font weight/size/color to differentiate levels of text hierarchy. Red accents and icons further emphasize key points while adding visual representations of the information presented. Images will establish eye lines towards the content. To create motion I helped guide users’ eyes using background graphics, icons, and pops of color. Careful use of negative space left ‘breathing room’ around important elements, while helping to guide users towards key content. Multiple iterations of each template section were created based on input from Infor’s team, allowing them to mix-and-match templates and handle differences in amount of copy, availability of images, and other common factors that pop up. Outcome Infor’s marketing team loved the templates, and were able to successfully use them for a wide variety of webpages - some examples below. Examples of work created using the template system: Infor CPQ product page: https://www.twine.net/signin Infor HMS product page: https://www.twine.net/signin Infor M3 Cloud ERP product page: https://www.twine.net/signin
