Hi! My name is Celyn and I’m a Welsh speaking, published illustrator based in Newport. I have a first class honours degree in the subject and have a passion for using illustration as a medium for social commentary. My work is inspired by my love of expression through fashion and colour and my fascination with Japanese graphic design and art. I strive to capture the beauty and small moments of my surroundings and everyday life. My portfolio includes: Fi Ydy Fi I illustrated the first Welsh medium book about puberty for girls. The video will be used in Welsh medium schools around Wales as an educational resource. Brunel University game concept I created a series of dragon illustrations for a game concept for Brunel University that would be used to promote Welsh tourism. Cardiff University Podcast cover art Cardiff University commissioned me to create podcast cover artwork for their welsh journalism departments student hosted podcast. _Website not available. (shown below) S4C I created some animation work the the title intro for the S4C programme ‘Pampro Cwn Cymru’ that was aired on Christmas eve that focused on Welsh dogs being groomed.
