    Bittersweet Addictions Vol 1 tells the coming-of-age story of Charisse Sky as she navigates through unhealthy addiction to her lover. Each song centers around a different stage in her emotional journey, from the initial intoxication and infatuation with her partner to the realization that the relationship is toxic. The first track, “Medication” sets the scene for the EP, with Charisse enamored by the idea of healing her lover. She then dances with the reality of a young lover with flaws and faults on the second track, “Insecurities”. The third track “After You” vocalizes the duality of a budding relationship and details the first signs of inconsistency through rose-colored glasses. The fourth track “Difficult” sets a passionate standard after learning her own needs. “For You” taps into the hopeless veins of wishing her lover would change for the better. The EP ends with the sixth and final track, “Bittersweet Addictions” where she comes to the realization that withdrawals hurt, but they are ultimately necessary to kick an addiction to a love no good for you. Charisse Sky’s debut EP goes through a range of emotions, from optimism to grief to anxiety in relations and relationships. Overall, Bittersweet Addictions Vol 1 aims to portray the emotional journey of Charisse Sky as she overcame her relationship with toxicity.
