    uniE621 Chasms
Chasms: A Tale of Emptiness and Desperation. Chasms is an evocative story centered around a young girl grappling with profound emptiness in her life. As her internal void grows, it manifests physically as actual holes in her body. These gaping voids symbolize her deep-seated feelings of loneliness and despair. Desperate to feel whole again, she begins to fill these holes with objects from her surroundings. However, the more she fills them, the larger and more consuming they become, transforming from mere holes into craters, and ultimately into chasms. Eventually, her body turns into a human dump, rendering her immobile and overwhelmed by the very objects she thought would bring her confort.I wrote this story and developed the concept art and illustrations, which I am currently animating. The project began in 2020 as part of my Master in Animation at the University of the Arts London (UAL) and remains a work in progress. The goal is to create a short film that delves into mental health issues and the pervasive sense of loneliness, utilizing dark and macabre visuals to convey the haunting reality of these struggles. uniE621 Cailleach: Queen of Winter.
I contributed as an Illustrator for Settle Stories, an independent arts charity located in one of the most rurally isolated parts of the UK. Settle Stories works with children, schools, and diverse communities through values like creativity, education, and community engagement. I have developed their illustrated digital library, bringing stories to life through my illustrations for children and schools. One of the stories I illustrated is: Cailleach, the Queen of Winter. illustrator
uniE621 Nerolìa and the Enchanted Fig
"Nerolìa and the Enchanted Fig" is a dark reinterpretation of the classic Snow White fairy tale, set in the heart of the Sardinian inland. The story follows Nerolìa, a fourteen-year-old girl of extraordinary beauty, who lives in a poor Sardinian village. When her father falls ill, Nerolìa is forced to live with her stepmother, rumored to be a witch. The stepmother, envious of Nerolìa's beauty, attempts to suffocate her and later to poison her with an enchanted fig. Nerolìa escapes and finds refuge with the Janas, figures from Sardinian folklore, who help her discover her inner strength. Together, they manage to break the stepmother's curse, healing the village from her misdeeds. The stepmother is transformed into a raven, condemned to wander for eternity. The illustrations accompanying the story capture the folkloric and mysterious essence of Sardinia.
