Crea Sullivan is a London-based Irish composer and violinist whose journey in music began at the age of four, when she first immersed herself in classical violin performance. Her lifelong dedication to music has been shaped by both her creative pursuits and academic accomplishments. She holds an undergraduate degree in Music and Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin, where she graduated with first-class honours.
Crea was awarded a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, where she completed a master’s degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games, graduating Summa Cum Laude. This rigorous program equipped her with advanced techniques and insights for composing in media, and she has since collaborated with renowned orchestras, including ensembles at AIR Studios, the Budapest Art Orchestra, and Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana. Working with these distinguished groups allowed her to bring her compositions to life with the authenticity and precision of professional musicianship.
Recently, Crea was selected for a six-month program with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, led by John Lunn, providing her with further opportunities to refine her craft in a professional setting. She was also chosen for a six-month mentorship program with award-winning film, television, and video game composer Pieter Schlosser, which offered her a unique opportunity to refine her style and industry understanding. Currently, she interns with Patrick Jonsson, an acclaimed composer based in London.
Alongside her accomplishments as a composer, Crea is a dedicated violinist. Since 2019, she has studied under the guidance of violinist Karl Sweeney, developing a profound love for orchestral and chamber music performance. She has served as concertmaster on multiple occasions, showcasing her leadership and depth as a classical performer. Her performance achievements are complemented by success in national competitions such as Feis Ceoil, as well as awards like the Eimear Noonan Music Award and Féile Luimnigh.
As an active member of the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland, Crea has broadened her network and skillset by collaborating with esteemed media composers and engineers, including Patrick Doyle, John Powell, Anna Rice, and Jake Jackson. Now based in London, she remains dedicated to composing for screen, combining her classical roots with a passion for narrative-driven music that captures the essence of storytelling.
