David Dudeney is a composer/multi-instrumentalist from Ireland. His musical journey started at the age of 8 when he was handed a pair of drum sticks from his father and told to let it rip on the kit! Throughout his high school years he would be involved in and be the lead percussionist of both his school orchestra as well the Dublin Youth Symphony Orchestra. Upon completion of high school, David continued his musical studies as a drummer in the British and Irish institute of Modern Music in Dublin, while also being a key member of multiple original music groups, most notably, The Best Part, where he and his partner, Aimee Cuffe, would write, record and perform songs together. During this time David also composed the ambient score for the promotional video of the Confucius building on the campus of University College Dublin. David continued his education at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Here he received a Master’s degree in Scoring for Film, TV and Video Games. While in Berklee, David immersed himself in everything Berklee had to offer whereby he would compose and conduct music for a 51 piece orchestra in Air Studios, London, he would compose and conduct for multiple sessions with the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, score an entire game alongside 4 of his classmates for gaming students of ESAT. He would also compose and conduct quartets and a quintet for the musicians of the Orquestra da la Comunitat Valencia. David has received recognition from two film competition awards, most notably the 2024 Gil Soundtrack Award where he made it to the final 6 composers. He also received an honourable mention from the 2024 Indie Film Music Contest for ‘beautiful orchestration’ on his piece
