Matty The Educational Game - A game for students to explore the ocean, water cycle, related phenomena, and their impacts on Earth, how temperature change contributes to extreme weather, and actions we can take for a stable climate. The game guides Matty and his water molecule friends around the world in the ocean, up to the surface to evaporate, bonding with other water molecules to form droplets in clouds, traveling back to the surface as precipitation is pulled down by gravity, allowing ecosystems to flourish, and more.
● My Role: As a Software Engineer, I implemented the game's mechanics, user interface and other vital features. I was also collaborating with the client, game designers, and artists to determine the game's technical requirements and ensure that the game's mechanics, features, and user interface aligned with its educational objectives. I was also responsible for conducting tests to identify and fix bugs or issues with the game and working with other team members to integrate new features, optimize performance, and improve the game's overall quality.
