Edgars Rakovskis is an emerging Latvian composer who started out being the lead vocalist/guitarist and main songwriter for the Latvian metal band Relicseed. In 2015 Rakovskis wrote the first orchestral arrangement and has been developing this passion ever since.
Being a child of violin and clarinet players, Edgars had an opportunity to listen to classical music at a very young age. After discovering the power of heavy rock and metal music in his teenage years, he picked up the guitar and started singing as well. The classical music listening experience and the acquired performing abilities define Edgars’ sound and character fueled by tameless harmonies and the usage of elements from different styles of music.
