I am a Video Editor with over 20 years of experience, mostly in television shows but I’ve also done commercials, industry product presentations, Apple teaching courses, award shows, and I now work for NBC News on Meet the Press, Nightly News, and Today. I got my start as a media manager, then a colorist before transitioning to editor, and finally lead editor. This gave me knowledge of all aspects of post-production from start to finish: creating a post-production workflow, staffing the edit team, ingesting media, creating graphics, editing, color correction, quality control, delivery of the final product, and archiving of completed projects. Coming from news and television, I’m used to working in a deadline driven environment where being organized and communicating clearly across the entire team are critical. I’m able to work in both technical and creative aspects of production, helping to conceptualize the creative vision and troubleshoot any technical hurdles that may arise. As a freelancer working for many different clients and companies, I’ve had to stay up to date on new editing and motion graphics software, video production workflows and adjust to whatever works best for the project.
