After spending 2 years on the sales floor of a bridal boutique learning the formal wear business from the ground up, I decided to take some time off and have fun selling cosmetics as a Lancôme Beauty Advisor. That was in 1984 and I never looked back. After 2.5 years as a Beauty Advisor and Business Manager, and 2.5 years as an Account Coordinator, I achieved my dream position as Lancôme Regional Trainer in Charlotte N.C. For the next 12 years, I trained, developed, and motivated Beauty Advisors across three Regions in the Southern US. In 2001, I joined the US Education team in NY, managing and developing core learning programs, and in 2003 made the move of a lifetime to Paris to work with the DMI Education team as International Director of Makeup Education. Halfway through my assignment, I became International Director of Skincare Education. At the end of my assignment, I returned to NY as US Director of Skincare Learning. In 2014, I accepted an invitation to return to the Lancôme Education DMI as International Director of Skincare Education for Lancôme, and while it may appear to be the same position as before, it was certainly a new learning experience with exciting challenges that grew me as a business-builder and a leader. In 2020, I returned to the US and continued collaborating with the DMI Education team while also taking on a Digital mission for the US Lancôme General Manager. In February 2021 I formed my own Instructional Design Consulting business, Learning by Design LLC. A native of Louisiana, I love cooking, entertaining, gardening, and speaking French. I enjoy traveling and discovering Europe with my husband and daughter.
