Hi, I’m Gio De Marco, multi-instrumentalist composer and producer currently living in Madrid. I am the founder of independent record label Artistic Energy Records. With over 15 years experience writing songs, recording, touring and playing in bands, my main goal is to collaborate with other artists’ projects.

My first concept album, “Metamorfosis”, was made 100% by me (no other musicians). I played & recorded all instruments (bass guitar, drums, electric/acoustic guitars, keyboards and synths) and vocals, produced and mixed the whole thing in my humble studio, with few resources and very low budget.

    In 2020 and 2021 I worked on a series of songs that had a more radio-friendly vibe. Not as complex as some of my previous tunes, but still nice and smooth, in order to make it easier for the casual listener to discover my music. https://youtu.be/4rvMRENwbKg?si=yay72U0N2VaFgspW Cyan features an intricate mix of keyboard and synth sounds, with a huge guitar solo in the middle, and profound lyrics about learning how to live.
    uniE613 Metamorfosis Concept Album (2019)
    "Metamorfosis" is my first concept album, inspired on progressive rock vinyls of the 70s like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Yes, Deep Purple, and the likes. The idea was to create an album that you could play seamlessly from start to finish, with smooth transitions between songs, exploring the concept of time and its impact. https://youtu.be/hM3CUyObgW8?si=wlR55CzdL-CSwtYn The album features a wide sonic palette, where sounds mutate as you listen through. It is a very introspective and kind of "dark" album, and it reflects on the overall sound. I wrote all the songs and lyrics, played all instruments, mixed and produced the whole piece in my humble home-studio in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It took 3 years to be made. It was finished on Dec 30, 2018 and was officially released in Feb 8, 2019.

    uniE613 Mi Estrella (2021)
    "Mi Estrella" (spanish for My Star) is a song that I released in 2021. It's a very deep, dense and personal song. The idea was to convey a feeling of sadness to the listener. https://youtu.be/4rvMRENwbKg?si=yay72U0N2VaFgspW The whole song was wrote on one night in 2017 (all music and lyrics). In sonic terms, it sounds really big, cosmic and atmospheric, especially the guitar solo.
