My love story with animation begins in my living room in Bangkok, Thailand, at the age of ten, when my father brought me a video tape of Toy Story. It was my first encounter with 3D animation, as I was more into Japanese cartoons and animations before. I couldn’t remember when I drew my first sketch, as I’ve been drawing longer than I’ve been walking on my two legs. But seeing 3D animation for the first time convinced me that there’s a whole other level to what my parents called “doodling.” Although I’ve been drawing all my life, I didn’t think I was going to be good enough to “play in the big leagues.” But when I first dabbled with MAYA during my pursuit of my bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications and Design, I fell in love in love with the art of 3D animation. I fell in love with the art of storytelling through the movements, timing, and even “acting” in 3D animation. I was so natural and comfortable in that class, that the instructor told me I should pursue it further than just a class.
