Grace has recently graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with a First Class Degree Honours in Classical Trumpet Performance, though she has grown up also playing piano from a young age, and have pursued exams to Grade 8 Distinction in both instruments.
She is a regular freelancer, performing at renowned arts venues such as Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Bridgewater Hall Manchester, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Latitude Music Festival and Aviva Studios (Factory International), and with ensembles such as Manchester Camerata, Music in Unison and Laiton Trumpet Quartet.
As a pianist, she has performed regularly as a soloist and accompanist. Before moving up North to study, Grace was a rehearsal pianist for two years with the Co-op Juniors Theatre Company, providing accompaniment to their dance classes, singing rehearsals and end of term showcases.
Grace is passionate about music teaching, and currently working for Lancashire Music Service, MAPAS, E and M Academy and the Cadishead Training Band, teaching all ages, from young children to elderly adults. Through these organisations, she’s enjoyed leading sectionals and ensemble work, conducting, arranging and coaching the musicians through performances. Grace also works through ABRSM and Trinity syllabus’ with pupils, and has gained results of a Merit or Distinction.
Grace is also an avid presenter, and has presented at the Music for Youth National Festival, held at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall in 2022 and 2023. Grace also had her own radio show on IO Radio, been a regular guest on BBC Radio Suffolk, and sat on the ABRSM Youth-Advisory panel.
Grace is thrilled to be supporting the Elland Silver Band Slow Melody Competition by proving accompaniments. She is available for accompaniment and teaching across the North West.
