Established in 2009, Hand Drawn Creative is an illustration and graphic design studio based in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Founder, designer and illustrator Neal McCullough has worked in the creative industries since the 1990s, creating bold colourful, vivid and memorable illustration, graphic design and corporate identity. Hand Drawn Creative has created strong, distinctive creative campaigns, working with some of the World’s most recognisable institutions. In late 2008, I focussed my talents as an Illustrator and founded Hand Drawn Creative. Work began with creating illustrations for international poster company GB Eye Ltd. Working with clients in London and the United States, I was successfully commissioned to provide illustrations for Time Inc. in the United States, BBC’s cbeebies channel and internationally renowned Hairbrush manufacturer Denman International . I was also commissioned by the Envato Network to write several articles and tutorials detailing my illustrative style. Projects have included illustrations for London’s Orange Panther Collective, Edinburgh’s Attraction Industry heavyweights Fabled Creative and Los Angeles based Art Director Hillary Carlip. Alongside these larger clients, I’m passionate about developing great working relationships with local businesses. Establishing Hand Drawn Creative has seen me create memorable and high profile illustrations and corporate identities for clients all over the world. I also sell my own range of illustrated prints to customers all over the world through the Hand Drawn Creative Store. July 2004-September 2008 Job Title: Senior Designer Company: Ardmore Advertising 2004 saw my first move into the world of advertising, working in the design studio of Holywood based Ardmore Advertising. Building on solid experience in previous graphic design roles, my time in Ardmore saw the development of a strong, recognisable illustrative style in my work and I often employed illustration within design solutions. I also gained increased confidence in writing headlines and copy, developing stronger grammar and knowledge of editor’s proof marks, with strong spelling and proofing skills.
