I love working collaboratively to problem solve and bring design solutions to life. I approach all projects by first trying to understand who I'm designing for and what are their goals - I conduct user interviews, usability tests, heuristic analysis and competitive analysis to gain insight, and then define the goals for the project. I aim to see the big picture while also attending to the details. At Better Angels, I approached designing a data analytics dashboard from a user perspective by conducting additional research to fully understand the needs of our client organization - this entailed finding and studying their annual report to identify additional metrics that were important to them, and collaborating with product managers and a data visualization specialist to identify the best ways to represent this data. I also ensured my designs were accessibility friendly, following the WCAG 2.2 guidelines. I use Figma to create wireframes and prototypes for desktop and mobile projects, present my work to the team, and collaborate with other designers. I’ve conducted usability tests both remotely and in person, as well as preference tests using Lyssna/UsabilityHub.
