Kami’s journey in cinematography began in 2015 as a cameraman for the Chinese News and Current Affairs department at Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). During his tenure, he honed his storytelling skills by capturing compelling visuals for news and feature stories. Building on this foundation, he transitioned into short-film production, participating in award-winning projects such as PANAM 98 (Assistant Director, Editor, and Colorist) and Venus (Director, Editor, and Colorist), supported by the Hong Kong SAR Government’s fund program. In 2019, amidst the historic Anti-ELAB Movement, Kami returned to current affairs, using his skills to document pivotal moments with clarity and precision. This experience further solidified his ability to balance creative storytelling with journalistic integrity. Since moving to Canada, Kami has taken on diverse roles in video production, working as a freelancer and contributing to TV commercials, feature stories, and branded content for various industries, including real estate and music videos. Notably, Kami has collaborated on projects such as After The Rain TVC, showcasing his advanced skills in cinematography, video editing, and color grading. His expertise also extends to live productions, as demonstrated by his part-time work at Polygon Production, where he gained hands-on experience as a Production Audio Technician (A2) and follow spot operator.
