Nadia Desroches is a multidisciplinary artist working across theater, dance, humor, and illustration. She began dancing at the age of 3 and later studied theater and communication at both the collegiate and university levels, earning a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Theater from UQÀM. Specializing in the stage identity of stand-up performers, she became a member of the International Society for Humor Studies in 2017, participating annually in their conferences and leading workshops on humor research.
In 2022, Nadia graduated in illustration from Collège Salette and became a member of Illustration Québec. She wrote and illustrated her first story in 2020, which she performed via Zoom. In 2022, she worked as a consultant and actor’s coach for the play Solstice d’hiver at Théâtre Prospero. Later that year, she held her second exhibition at Maison de la culture Mercier Est, showcasing her works Guérison and Déjà. She also participated in the Parle-moi d’amour exhibition benefiting Les Impatients, an organization supporting access to art for individuals with mental health issues. One of her pieces, La loutre, is now part of a private collection.
In 2024, Nadia unveiled Caucus, a mural at the Complexe sportif du Collège Rosemont, further expanding her artistic repertoire.
