Jack Burmeister is an award-winning Sound Designer & Composer who works primarily in theatre and film, which enables him to explore the unique relationship between music and other artforms to create bespoke, immersive experiences. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Interactive Composition) from UOM, and is a Company Artist with Frenzy Theatre Co. His notable design credits include "The Whale" (Melbourne Shakespeare Company, 2024), "La Belle Époque" (dir. Budi Miller, 2024), “NIUSIA” (dir. Kathryn Yates, 2023) at Motley Bauhaus which was the recipient of the Melbourne Fringe ‘Industry Ready’ award, “PIPER” and “The Roof is Caving in” (Frenzy Theatre Co). He won Best Score at the Geelong Independent Film Festival for his work on "With Everything I Am". Jack is the producer of The Theatre of Others Podcast, with over 20,000 listeners in over 90 countries and amongst the top 5% of podcasts worldwide. He was the lead designer on ‘The Earth Turns’, an audio play for COP27, and performed ‘Bright Light Burning’ (Adam Marple) at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai (COP28). He is the sound designer and composer for ‘The Theatre of Others Audio New Play Festival’, developing and producing thirteen exciting new audio plays from Australia, Singapore, Egypt, and America, including ‘Firespeak’, ‘Barrelhouse’, ‘Sob Story’, and ‘Meet me at Liberation’ (2023), ‘Whale Song’, ‘Success in Contemporary Corporate Praxis’, ‘Beautiful’, and ‘Sugarbag’ (2022), ‘Thief’, ‘Galatea’, and ‘Tales from Arcadia’(2021). He is currently working on their 2024 season.
