Metahuman-prototype app for kidney disease education
In 2024, I created a promo video to market a prototype of a mobile app by Adappcity. Brent’s vision was to create an educational tool where a potential donor can ask questions about the process behind the operation, as if they were talking to a friend, a digital human.
https://vimeo.com/1026897349
MY ROLE
In order to help the client seek funding for the mobile AI app, I created a 30 second clip demonstrating the prototype.
CHALLENGES FACED
At the time I didn’t have 3D capabilities yet, but I found Live Portrait AI to help me streamline faking ‘3D’ in order to execute on Brent’s vision.
THE PROCESS
After using Live Portrait A to create the demo footage, I used After Effects to produce the full motion clip.

‘Never Too Late’ Movie Trailer
Also in 2024, I decided to take on the 30-day challenge of making a 60 second movie trailer using B-roll footage and music supplied by the hosts of Editfest. I came up with the story of an elderly widow with 3 months to live who decides to embark on an adventure to see the country of her youth one last time.
https://vimeo.com/1019797938
MY ROLE
Make a 60 second clip featuring Film Supply’s footage and song collection in celebration of the annual Editfest competition.
CHALLENGES FACED
Coming up with the storry concept for the trailer was the most challenging, as at least 50% of the clip had to be made with Film Supply stock footage. Every clip placed together had to make sense together somehow.
THE PROCESS
It started with music selection, writing notes while reviewing footage - I decided on a lighthearted story with the intent of drawing feelings around celebrating life even when someone is nearing the end of it.

No-Ice Sculpt Animation
In 2023, I enrolled in School of Motion’s Animation Bootcamp course, which was a 12-week intensive teaching the principles of animation. It was also a great foundation for my break into motion design. This 20+ scene cut is the final assignment for the course.
https://vimeo.com/1035282035
MY ROLE
A 24 second clip fulfilling the brief, though the storyboard design was provided by the course - it was my task to bring it to life.
CHALLENGES FACED
Transitions, flow, easing, while applying the concepts of squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow through. The other task was to discover and apply my own taste, which had to include a generous touch of humor.
THE PROCESS
Like most of what I do, I always start with the song. I absolutely loved Mac A Demia’s work when I discovered him. So, I knew I had to use this track, and then it was all about marrying the motion to the music.
