when I first went to college I was very nervus and after getting off the train I was greeted by Chris Lonigan who walked me the the college in weymouth when I arrived in the building I was in a room with DR Rick Birley, DR Richard Hall, and DR Julie Trevett so I opened my violin case and started playing one of my compositions to them. its hard to explain how nervous is was because I was used to playing to people in their 100s or even 6oos but never just 3! lol after Rick said "I want him in my department". after that i started learning every day studying theory playing arranging performance and of coarse composition !my favourite"! over this time I made a strong friendship with DR Rick Birley he helped me with composition and compositional theory and practice. at collage I was introduced to Sibelius a music notation program.
