Juliana Rivelli, soprano has been performing throughout America and internationally for 10+ years. Originally from Smithfield, Rhode Island, she began voice studies at the age of 9 years old.
Some of her notable credits range from Frances Norcross in the opera, Sisters Show Me Eternity with the original cast, directed and created by Sylvia Stoner, to performing in France and Ireland with the international award winning College of Saint Rose Chamber Choir, to being a featured soloist at the Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady, New York on Patti Lupone’s tour, “Don’t Monkey With Broadway.”
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education at The College of Saint Rose, and her Master of Music in Classical Vocal Pedagogy at Shenandoah University. She was the Graduate Assistant in The Janette E. Ogg Voice Research Center, alongside Dr. David Meyer. She completed her first research study, “The Relationship Between SLPS and Singers: A Survey”. Shortly after, the research study was accepted into the ASHA Convention in New Orleans in 2023.
She has studied and coached with voice instructors, educators, and musical artists such as Natalie Conte, Dr. Suna Gunther, Dr. Michael Lister, Dr. Michael Levi, Annelisse Von Goerken, Paul Patinka, and Dr. Susan Boddie.
Juliana has taught in the Fall River, Massachusetts, Smithfield, Rhode Island and Pawtucket, Rhode Island School Districts. As well as completing her student teaching experiences at Stillwater Elementary in New York, and Guilderland High School in New York. She enjoys working with the students of all ages.
Juliana hopes to perform in more operas and musical showcases, grow her private voice studio, substitute teach at her local school districts, and continue to focus on her voice pedagogy research studies. Juliana’s interests include singing, acting, dancing, voice over work, the beach, and writing poetry.
