With over ten years of experience in the industry, I have honed my technical expertise and storytelling abilities to deliver high-quality videos that resonate with audiences. From corporate videos to documentaries, I am confident that my knowledge and skillset make me an ideal candidate to bring the client’s vision to life.
I began my professional film career in 2007, when I became the Associate Producer of the Nicholas Bruckman and People’s Television documentary short “The Grey Movie”. The film was sponsored by the Cinereach Foundation and was later screened by Rooftop Films and by The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).
In 2009 I contributed to the production of the short film “The Bridge”, directed by actor and producer Philipp Wolter of The Film Gym production company; on set I assisted in grip and lighting.
In 2011 I enrolled in the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan for their Social Documentary graduate program. It was during this tenure that I directed, filmed, and produced my first feature film: a biographical account of the life of Dennis Flores, a Brooklyn-born media activist who films police brutality and misconduct in his community. This film, “Truth Through A Lens”, won the Best Documentary Feature Award at the 2014 Workers Unite Festival, and was an Official Selection at the 2015 Socially Relevant Film Festival in New York City.
Over the past decade, I have contributed to a wide range of media outlets. In 2011, I became a certified studio producer for BRIC Art Media’s BCAT Brooklyn Independent Television. Following graduation from SVA in 2013, I became a freelance videographer and produced video content for Arvato Systems North America, Firelight Media, USA Today Sports, and And Now Media. Additionally, I have directed several music videos by independent music artists across the Tri-State area.
In October 2019 my documentary short “Sophia Dawson: PURPOSE”, about the artist and activist of the same name, became an Official Selection at several NYC-based film festivals.
In September of 2020 I founded and launched the Black Independent Filmmaker App, the first mobile venture that provides a virtual platform to connect filmmakers of color in the independent film community.
In 2022 I became a producer on the feature film drama “I Want To Live On Mars”, directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Mariya Somova. The film was completed in 2023, and throughout 2024 it has been selected to screen at film festivals across the U.S.
I am currently working as a video producer for CUNY at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I am also developing my first two narrative screenplays - one feature and one short - and is in the process of securing investments to begin production.
My portfolio, which I have attached for your reference, showcases my ability to create visually compelling videos across various genres. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experience can contribute to your projects and help elevate your brand.

John Jay College of Criminal Justice was born in the mid-1950s in response to the increased complexity of administering and operating the New York City Police Department and relations between police and the community.
A Police Science Program that emphasized a strong liberal arts curriculum was established in 1954 at the Baruch School of Business and Public Administration of City College. Over the next decade, the program grew substantially, attracting large numbers of students.
In 1964, a committee convened by the Board of Higher Education recommended establishing an independent, degree-granting school of police science. The College of Police Science (COPS) of the City University of New York was subsequently founded and admitted its first class in September 1965. Within a year, the school was renamed John Jay College of Criminal Justice to reflect broader education objectives in criminal justice, leadership development and emphasis on professional achievement in public service
The school’s namesake, John Jay, was the first Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court and one of the founding fathers of the United States. Jay was a native of New York City and served as governor of New York State.
Today, John Jay is one of the nation’s premier criminal justice institutions, bringing together award-winning faculty and students in diverse community to engage with issues of justice.
