In this hauntingly immersive trailer for The Sinking City 2, I redesigned the sound to enhance the eerie, ghostly atmosphere of the game. My contributions included crafting environmental sounds, object movements, monster effects, foley, and synthesizing special audio elements to create a sense of foreboding and unease.
The trailer’s soundscape needed to evoke a spooky, mysterious, and slightly psychotic mood, perfectly aligned with the dark narrative of the game. Water sounds, footsteps, and the overall ambiance were key elements I meticulously refined to harmonize with the visual storytelling. Through sound modulation, resampling, and custom audio creation, I tested and reworked each layer until the sound hit the emotional tension necessary to pull players deeper into the game's world.
