As a fourth year communications creative writing student heavily interested in the world of screenwriting, production and media I believe this role will suit my interests and previous experience soundly. I am hungry to begin my career in the media world and would love to apply my skills towards the opportunities you are currently advertising. Studying at UTS, a large emphasis is placed on collaboration through group work so I am used to exploring idea’s creatively with others which I believe is essential to the role you seek. I have a lucrative relationship with the world of sport. Having played many team and solo sport’s professionally throughout my life I know what it feels like to be a part of a grand final winning team and how the high’s of such success can impact others. I still play AFL to this day and don’t plan to stop. Growing up my love of sport translated into creative efforts such as making youtube sport’s highlight’s videos that attained thousands of views. Therefore I believe I have a wealthy background in editing so that it may positively excite audiences. Lastly, I have worked in quick and high intensity work environment’s all my life. From my early beginnings as an AFL umpire where I am in a fast paced environment where decision making and control is a must, to the hospitality industry where team communication is effective during night’s where hundreds of people want to be served. I have always wanted to progress quickly with whatever I set my mind to. Working in RSL/sport’s club you have to earn your keep, you’ll only be taught certain responsibilities if you are deemed fit. Within my first year working in a club I was fully trained on every bar, foyer, gaming (pokie machines) and the cash deck (cheque’s, counting money). I intend to continue to strive to this standard in my future endeavours.
