Hi there! I'm Michael Miroshnik, a passionate filmmaker based in Toronto. My journey began in Moscow during the collapse of the USSR, where I developed a keen eye for storytelling amidst the opening of the Iron Curtain to Western cinema. Raised in a diverse trilingual environment in Israel, I honed my skills at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University, exploring every aspect of filmmaking from directing to editing. Starting my career as a focus puller in 2011, I had the privilege of working and learning from some of the best directors of photography in Israel, Europre and the US. I gained valuable insights into cinematic techniques. In 2018 I transisioned to the position of Cinematographer myself and have lensed many commercials, short films, music videos and documentaries. Recently, I completed a Master of Fine Arts program in film production at York University, further refining my craft and expanding my creative horizons. With experience across narrative, documentary, music video, and commercial productions, I bring a wealth of knowledge and creativity to every project. My strong interpersonal abilities allow me to communicate effectively with clients and collaborators, ensuring a smooth and successful production process…Hi there!
