I often refer to myself as a Technical Artist, since graduating from Wimbledon college of art with a degree in technical arts and special effects I feel it best describes my working practice. As an artist I like to apply various techniques and working styles to create a final outcome. Originally from the North West of England, Preston to be exact, I’m now based down in Bristol. Working as designer, maker and installations artist I’ve been lucky enough to work with some great companies in my career. Including: John Lewis, Cath Kidston, Dinosaur Zoo, Samsung, Disney, The Unicorn Trail & Boomtown Festival. My last big job involved me touring with The Lion King as head of the mask and puppets department. I create work such as props, puppets, costumes, sets and sculpture but also dabble in illustration for fun, as well as print and apparel. I have the opportunity to see designs go from illustrations on paper to bold fun objects in reality. As an Artist I enjoy working with many materials to draw, design, create, build, develop and finish props, costume, puppets, set and sculptures to excite the senses of any audience. I love being able to change from one material to another working on various projects to keep my hands busy, no matter how messy the job. From painting to pattern making, murals to mold-making, fibreglass to fabrication, carpentry to craft, sewing to set dressing to mention just a few.

uniE621 Daily Rag Set and Venue 2024
I was tasked to create and Run the Venue The Daily Rag at Boomtown Festival 2024. This involved everything from designing the set, building it and installing it on site. Then running the Theatrical venue and printing a paper on site too. With a staff of 28, we had to ensure the smooth running of the paper, make sure stories were written proofed and ready to publish daily. I was acting as editor and chief for all issues of the paper over the four day festival, whilst also managing the social media for the venue too so all the details aligned across all media.
