Dear Hiring Manager, I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a 2.1 BA Honours in English and History. Currently, I am a Merchandise Project Coordinator at Twinkl Educational Publishing where I help run merchandise campaigns and incentives weekly and monthly for the company for our UK market. I liaise with suppliers and negotiate the best prices for merchandise and fulfillment to send items to our devoted customers. I am also in charge of onward email marketing, copy writing and editing within our team. I manage large UK projects across the company. Previously, I have worked as a supply chain and customer services administrator at a busy cosmetic manufacturer, where I used my organisational, communication and multitasking skills daily. I managed deliveries and production and was always on hand to help team members of the supply chain with ad hoc tasks and instant production changes. I was an editorial assistant for a local magazine back in the US, where I oversaw many tasks including copy editing as well as writing articles to adhere to themes for the month. I was a featured author in the July 2020 issue where I wrote about Black American fine artists that should be household names. Currently, I write book reviews for NB Literary Magazine (which is published online and in print in the UK) and for Sheffield Magazine as an Arts and Culture contributing writer. I am also very involved with reviews, creating content and using bookstagram where I have over 2800 followers. I have been a part of some really exciting campaigns and events because of my bookstagram page, and I find the relationships I've built one of the best parts about it. This experience would help me bring a wealth of knowledge of current trends through a wide range of genres. I have loved so many of the titles Simon & Schuster has published, most recently PERIL by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa which I found absolutely harrowing and fascinating and I enjoyed discussing it with my Dad who is very into politics! I purchased it as a holiday gift for him and he also really enjoyed it. In addition to my book experience, I worked for the J. Paul Getty Museum (both at the Getty Center and Getty Villa) in the museum shop where I specialized in the book department and helped merchandise the store regularly depending on visiting exhibitions and the Getty permanent collection. My academic background in English and History, coupled with practical experience in my current and past job roles, has equipped me with strong organizational and multitasking skills. In my previous roles, I have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I understand the importance of being a knowledgeable point of contact for various stakeholders. Through effective communication in my current role as well as my past experiences, I have acted as a liaison between team members, artists, creative practitioners, partner organisations, and the public.
