Massimo Marraccini is an Italian born musician: Drummer, Percussionist, Composer, Performer, Arranger, Producer, Multi Instrumentalist.
Massimo’s musical journey begins very early at the age of 10, when he first grabbed a pair of drum sticks.
His older brother wanted to play guitar, he was big into Rock music, and used to buy lots of vinyls so they grew up in a sort of musical environment.

Massimo studied languages and graduated at High school, while preparing his exams to enter the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome to study Percussion Instruments.
He completed his classical studies in 1995.
He then specialised at the Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachussets.
Back in Italy He collaborates for several years with the major Italian Symphonic Orchestras: the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, the RAI Symphony Orchestra of Rome and Turin, the Lazio Regional Symphony Orchestra, Roma Sinfonietta.
Parallel to his classical activity, he never quit his passion for Rock music and Drumming, in fact he started quite early to play in bands and touring.
One of his early musical adventure was with a band called Overlord, an Indie Rock, Punk/rockabilly band he recorded 3 albums with.
They were quite known in the underground Italian scene and happened to tour quite a lot around the country. They supported band of the likes of The “Lords of the new Church”, The Fuzztones, The Pogues.
In 1998 he moved to Dublin. He began regularly collaborating with the National Symphony Orchestra and after a few months he won the Principal Percussion Player chair in the R.T.E. Concert Orchestra for the following 10 years. During the Irish years, and thanks to his position in the orchestra, he had the chance to work with the top of the Pop Irish Music scene, collaborating with The Coors, David Gray, Westlife, Boyzone, Julie Feeney, Ronan Keating, but also some British artists like Sir George Martin, Roger Daltrey. Claire Martin.
He also had an intense activity as a studio session musician.
When he quit the R.T.E. orchestra in 2007 he moved to London where he collaborates with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the LSO.
Back in Italy in 2008, he resumed his live activity as a drummer playing and touring with different Rock bands. Contemporarily he practices the craft of sound engineering, takes the AVID courses for Protools, and starts recording and producing in his first home studio. In 2015 he opens the SoundSideStudio his headquarter for the production, arranging and songwriting side of his activity, where he still works today.
