My name is Mehtap Merter, and I am an interior designer and tv set designer with experience in both home and commercial projects.
I graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design from TOBB University of Economics and Technology. I started as a freelance designer, focusing on home projects. My approach to understanding clients’ needs and creating practical, beautiful spaces helped me build strong client relationships. Later, I worked as a TV Studio Designer for TRT, Turkey’s national broadcasting channel. Here, I designed stage sets that fit the broadcast themes, managed project budgets, and worked with software like SketchUp, Lumion, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
I continue to work on home design projects for private clients.

Design for Coral Restaurant - School Project
This project was inspired by the natural geometry of coral reefs, reflecting the essence of its namesake, “Coral Restaurant.” The ceiling features a tulle fabric installation that shapes the lighting design, allowing soft light to filter through, creating an inviting and atmospheric ambiance. From the concept stage, natural forms and colors were prioritized, bringing a harmonious connection between the marine theme and the overall aesthetic of the space.
The Big Tiny Coffee - Portable Cafe Design
This project presents a mobile cafe concept named ‘Kremm,’ designed to offer a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The compact structure integrates a serving counter, seating area, and storage, all within a lightweight and towable design. Warm lighting and ergonomic details ensure a comfortable customer experience, making it ideal for both urban and outdoor events. The design reflects the harmony of functionality and aesthetic appeal in a portable format.
