Michael Mills is an accomplished composer who's music has been performed by professional ensembles, highly trained students, and himself throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, on public radio, and across Europe. He writes music in a wide variety of styles and for many mediums including Film, Video-Game, Dance, Computer, Orchestra, etc. Recent performances include premiers of his works "Memento Mori" at the Valencia International Performance Academy and Festival and "Continuous Blossom" at the Zodiac Chamber Music Academy and Festival in the South of France. He was invited to the 2019 Thessaloniki International Film Festival after a successful premiere of his work at the 2019 Fusion Film Scoring Workshop. Michael mostly composes music that addresses topics related to the human experience using a blend of contemporary techniques and traditional practices. Until beginning his undergraduate studies, he was an almost entirely self taught composer and pianist.
