I'm an expert 3D Generalist with over 20 years of experience in the film, television and games industry. I have a diverse set of software skills including Autodesk Maya, Mudbox and MotionBuilder. I am also an expert user of the Adobe Suite including After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, as well as many accessory apps that form a digital workflow. My specialities included animation, surfacing, lighting, vfx and compositing. My career began in motion capture for video games, and I later moved into animation and visual effects for broadcast. In 2006, I started Electric Square as a platform for my freelance work, scaling up and down on an as-needed basis for larger projects. In addition to my creative skills, I bring a lifelong curiosity and enthusiasm to everything I work on, and I believe this can be contagious. I oversee each project from start to finish, collaborating closely with the client to achieve their vision through clear communication. My years of experience working with a range of diverse filmmakers has given me a true appreciation for the craft of storytelling through curiosity, empathy and intelligence. I highly value these qualities both in the projects I work on, and the culture I work within. I bring these things into everything I do and pride myself on superior communication skills, which I believe is the essential other side of the coin when it comes to working in an industry which is often fairly solitary and modular in its workflow. Success, in work and in life, is highly dependent on keeping everyone who is involved, informed. In recent years, I have been focusing more on the dual areas on character animation, and incorporating Unreal Engine into my pipeline.
