I’m excited to share my latest project: Heritage Revival Co., a brand identity concept that dives into the rich world of cultural heritage and artisanal craftsmanship! This is a personal project created as part of my portfolio, focused on bringing timeless art forms into the modern era through thoughtful design.
Project Overview
Heritage Revival Co. represents a brand that honors traditional craftsmanship by promoting textiles and handmade products from diverse cultures around the world. The goal is to bridge the old and the new, showcasing heritage crafts in a way that resonates with today’s audiences who appreciate authenticity, sustainability, and cultural significance.
Design Elements
🔸 Logo & Symbols: To embody the spirit of resilience and transformation, I designed the logo by combining the Halagaz rune, which signifies resilience, with the Mayan symbol Kimi, representing transformation and legacy. This fusion creates a distinctive mark that’s meaningful, unique, and instantly recognizable.
🔸 Color Palette: Drawing inspiration from natural dyes, the color palette features deep indigos, earthy ochres, and soft neutrals like sand, ivory, and charcoal—tones that not only evoke the essence of artisanal craftsmanship but also have a modern appeal for an elevated brand experience.
🔸 Typography: I chose an elegant serif font to reflect tradition and heritage, paired with Montserrat, a timeless sans-serif typeface, for a balanced and modern touch. Together, they echo the brand’s dedication to both honoring and evolving traditional art forms.
Purpose & Target Audience
Heritage Revival Co. is envisioned for a market of conscientious consumers who value high-quality, culturally significant products that are ethically sourced and sustainably crafted. This brand concept speaks to those who support cultural preservation and believe in the importance of knowing the story behind each piece they own.
Why This Project?
In a world where mass production is the norm, I wanted to explore the idea of a brand that reintroduces the beauty of handmade products and uplifts the artisans who create them. This project allowed me to weave together my love for design with my appreciation for cultural heritage, creating a concept that stands for quality, sustainability, and a connection to the past.
