Munk has composed to picture for features and shorts, including the award winning 2024 animated short “Book!” by Chris Georgenes (Tokyo International Cinema Awards, AniMate - Australia Animation Film Festival, Montreal Independent Film Festival, Chicago Indie Film Awards, Amsterdam Movie Fest, Hollywood Discovery Awards, New York Lift-Off Film Festival and more), and 2015 Indie Thriller “The House Across The Street” starring Eric Roberts.
As a recording artist, songwriter and producer, Munk was honored with consideration for Best Pop Solo Performance in the 66th Annual Grammy® Awards for his song “Myths”, which was featured in the 2024 film “The Getback”. He is a 2x New England Music Award winner.
Munk has been contracted for his signature combination of composer and UX skillsets for the innovative Bose sleep assist product Sleepbuds II, to create generative music content, informed by scientific research on soundwaves and their effect on the human brain. He was later contracted for the similar role at Hatch, tasked to create 10 hours of exclusive music content for his very own channel.
Munk Duane has appeared in major press including a feature in Billboard Magazine. He has been a guest lecturer for the Professional Development Seminar at Berklee College of Music and keynote speaker at the Massachusetts DECA District 1 Conference.
