CHALLENGE: The existing website faced usability issues, low conversion rates, and outdated design elements. DESIGN PROCESS: As a UX Designer, I conducted a thorough UX audit of the current website. QS ensures student candidates have access to helpful tools and the latest independent data and insights so they can make informed decisions about their education. Hence the objectives of the QS Top Universities website redesign are to enable students to browse the website easily, find the relevant information quickly, and enable students to make actions/decisions on the homepage like ‘Signup’, ‘Subscribe’ ‘Show Interest’ or ‘Contact’ through a form that would capture the student details with their consent the QS team would help students find the top courses in top universities to enable motivated people anywhere in the world to fulfill their potential through educational achievement, international mobility, and career development. Challenge Improve the user experience of students interacting with the website. The current website is somewhere lacking in providing all the relevant information. The structure of the home page needs to be reorganized in a way that creates trust and improves credibility among the students. Students these days are easily influenced by others so they can not make decisions easily so the overall design of the website should appeal to students and they should be able to make decisions by getting all the key information they are looking for. Design Process: I conducted quality research and reached out to real students who are looking for higher education programs abroad and interviewed them to find out their needs and concerns while searching for higher education programs online. I found useful insights to address the scenario on the design. I created wireframes and a concept design that has important features and sections. After creating wireframes and low-fidelity designs I did a usability test to validate the design solution was in the right direction and moved to create a high-fidelity design and an interactive prototype. Solution: The new design looks promising for students, they can find courses, universities and other key information on the home page and the website is engaging students to make action.
