This is one of my latest singles, showcasing my exploration of innovative sounds and concepts. I’ve coined the genre as "House Rage," an experimental fusion of Trap and EDM elements. I took full control of the production process: crafting the beat, writing and performing the lyrics, and handling the entire mixing process. For mastering, I utilized BandLab, which I’m still mastering (pun intended), due to a lack of advanced plugins necessary for elevating the mix beyond BandLab’s capabilities. In Logic Pro X, I rely heavily on Alchemy, my go-to stock synth, which offers an extensive range of sounds. Its eight-pad preset system allows for intricate sound design with variations on the same oscillations. By automating transitions between these pads using latch mode, I added dynamic movement and smooth transitions to the instruments. These techniques are just a few examples of the tricks I employ. The genre, emo trap, was prominent during the time of the release, popularized by rappers like XXXTentacion and Juicewrld999, two of my all time favorite artists. Since then, I've moved on to other sub-genres of rap music in search of my own unique sound and artistic style. Most of the instruments heard in the track are MIDI played, except for the acoustic drums and guitar, which I sampled from one of Gaston's band mates. The plug-in's I used for the vocal mixing were a blend of Logic Pro X stock-in (compressors, EQ, reverb, delay) and UAD 1176 compressors (came in a package with my Apollo Twin X) for the main vocals, Slate Digital Fresh Air (Mid-High saturation similar to Fab Filter Saturn but free), and Antares for heavy autotune, being part of my style.
