Dear Choreographer,

I’m reaching out to you in response to your being available through Twine. I have a unique opportunity that requires the services of a choreographer. How much of the project winds up in the hands of the choreographer is open.

To cut right to the chase: If this is something you want to do, tell us your vision and what you charge.

What we have:

A cute and clever Christmas song written by a BMI award-winning songwriter. The song was released last year. We have this version to build on.

What we want:

A music video of the song’s remake, where you would direct the singer-dancer so the camera catches non-stop entertainment throughout both the singing and the dancing.

Additional Information:

The singer-dancer is, at this time, undetermined, and we’d love it if this talented person is an associate of yours.

The studio recording will be marketed. There will be a forever royalty-right on the concerned recording, documented and issued to the selected singer-dancer.  It’s not a hard song to sing, but I will need to work on it with our selected singer-dancer so it is what we want.

The singer-dancer needs to sing our Christmas song and dance with Santa in the middle of the song. We want her to be wearing conservative, tear-away clothes, just to start, and then near the end of the song’s verse, where the attitude and tempo of our Christmas song changes, she’ll tear away the conservative clothes to reveal a Christmas-themed one-piece, with stylish stockings, and dancing shoes to be determined. You will need to provide simple direction and doable blocking for the entire video shoot. I will have some input on things.

Santas for this role are not hard to come by. We’d like you to pick one that works well with the singer-dancer.

I know what the setting and dialogue for the shoot ought to be. If you are serious about being the choreographer we reach an agreement with, I can share these things with you later.

The video company can be contracted by you, or we will provide one. The location of the shoot will probably require travel on the part of you or us. These decisions are currently to be determined

We are in the process of seeking financial backing for the project. Money shouldn’t be an issue.
 
The singing will at some point be finalized in the studio. Do you like working with the finished audio and lipsynch, or do you like shooting live and then match the singing in the studio? We’re thinking at least the background for the track ought to be finalized before the video shoot. When the voice is recorded in the studio depends on what you think will yield the best music video and is currently to be determined.

I am in charge of all things music, and have final say over all production decisions.

The remake will have sleigh bells, one line of lyric change, and better sound all the way around, especially where the bass and piano are concerned. The ending will be different and better.
