Virgin Media: Senior Multichannel Copywriter

Copywriter is needed in Slough, United Kingdom.

Senior copywriters are expected to produce both sales and service-based copy to support the expanding line of digital goods offered by Virgin Media O2.

To create outstanding experiences across numerous platforms, devices, locations, and channels, you’ll collaborate with UX managers, designers, developers, product owners, and content/editorial teams.

Type: 12 Months FTC

Key Duties:

• Have the capacity to handle and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders at once as a senior copywriter.
• Take the helm of major initiatives and projects across both our consumer and commercial websites, such as site redesigns, fresh starts, product launches, and more.
• Consult with internal stakeholders to collect information and requirements
• Take charge of the entire copy production process, revising the copy as necessary, and constantly searching for ways to make it better.
• Lead on important projects and redesigns of pages and websites, making sure that copy plays a vital role in determining the experience from the beginning.
• Through frequent catch-ups and brainstorming sessions, mentor, help, and inspire the online copywriter.
• Improve the team’s efficiency by introducing new methods of operation.
• Utilize customer insight across all touchpoints and be proactive in optimising and improving the digital experience by establishing a culture of testing, learning, and improvement.
• Contribute to defining and managing the website governance process, taking responsibility for voice, legal compliance, adherence to web standards, and accessibility, among other things.
• Utilize analytics, usability testing, internal and external research to find solutions to interaction copy issues.

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience as a copywriter, preferably online
• A powerful communicator who is passionate about writing and can inspire others, with excellent written English and an attention to detail
• Thorough awareness of online user behaviour (on desktops, mobile devices, and tablets), as well as best practises in this field
• Knowledge and expertise of writing in a certain voice and house style
• The capacity to manage workload, prioritise, and work under pressure
